ProWell Fitness’ “Just Be Kind” 5K Run/Walk, held today, Saturday, October 10, at the National Park in Georgetown, linked fitness with a charitable cause: supporting the rebuilding and recovery of Hope Children’s Home.
Organisers aimed to raise funds assist the the rebuilding of Hope Children’s Home in Enmore following a fire earlier this year. The initiative was designed to encourage community involvement while raising funds to help provide care, comfort and essential resources for the children.
Alongside the five-kilometre run and walk, the programme included Dancercize with Pilay Todd, aerobics with Denita, and a presentation by Kenneth Finlayson of Hope Children’s Home. A “Kindness Wall” also invited participants to share how they would practice kindness in their daily lives.
Under the theme “Every Step Counts. Every Act of Kindness Matters,” ProWell positioned the event as an opportunity to turn community goodwill into practical support for vulnerable children.
