Guyanese swimmer, Raekwon Noel, has qualified for three individual events at the 2026 NCAA Division I Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships. It marks another milestone in the Noel’s rising collegiate career. The Indiana Hoosiers sophomore will compete in the 100-yard backstroke, 100-yard butterfly and 200-yard butterfly when the national championships take place March 25–28.

Noel’s performances in both butterfly and backstroke events have been key to his development this season. His strongest race has been the 200-yard butterfly, an event that requires endurance, rhythm and technical precision. Noel has also delivered impressive performances in the 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard backstroke, events that demand explosive speed and powerful underwater work. Competing in three individual events at the NCAA Championships highlights his growing impact within Indiana’s roster.
Noel is one of 19 Indiana athletes selected for the men’s championships, the largest qualifying roster in the nation this season. The Hoosiers will send 16 swimmers and three divers to compete at the national meet. Indiana enters the championships with momentum after winning the Big Ten Men’s Swimming and Diving Championship, reinforcing its status as one of the top collegiate swimming programs in the United States.For Noel, qualifying in three events reflects a strong season in which he has emerged as one of Indiana’s most versatile swimmers.
