Young athletes preparing for the school sports season will have another two days of specialist coaching when A Record Chance Inc.’s School Sports Season Prep programme resumes at the Police Ground, Eve Leary, on September 19 and 20. The sessions will conclude the four-day initiative, following the completion of its opening weekend on September 12 and 13.
Head coach Arinze Chance leads a five-member coaching team covering sprints, jumps, throws, and middle- and long-distance running. Billed as the Elite Athletics Training Stint 2026, the programme brings together Guyanese athletes and coaches to provide event-specific guidance ahead of school competition.
Chance is responsible for sprint training, while Natricia Hooper covers the jumping events. Leslain Baird and throws coach Kenisha Headley are assigned to the throwing disciplines, with Cleveland Forde overseeing middle- and long-distance running.

The coaching line-up gives the initiative a broad track-and-field focus, incorporating both running and field events rather than concentrating exclusively on sprinting. Although structured around athletics, the programme is open to participants from all sports, extending its reach beyond those who regularly compete on the track or in the field.
Promoted under the theme “Prepare today, Perform tomorrow,” the initiative caters to athletes aged 10 to 20. The remaining weekend will continue the published age-group schedule, with athletes aged 10–14 training from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Participants aged 15–20 are scheduled to attend from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

With the opening sessions completed, attention now shifts to the final two days at Eve Leary, where the programme’s combination of track and field disciplines will remain central to its school-season preparation.
The advertised programme fee is G$5,000 per athlete. Registration information is available through the QR code on the event flyer, which also outlines payment through MMG. The listed merchant is A Record Chance Inc. (620-5541), with registration confirmation to be sent by text message or email after payment is received.
